How can I register for camp?
Register ONLINE or DOWNLOAD and print registration form from the website (www.lakeretreat.org/camps_registration.php). We can also send you a registration for if you give us a call. Send completed registration form, along with deposit (check, money order, or credit card information) to Lake Retreat. You may also fax the registration form to the camp 425/432-4293, but you must provide credit card information for the deposit.

Can campers choose their cabin partners?
Yes, campers can request one roommate on their registration form. Both partners should request each other. Our staff does their best to put all requests together. Campers are also placed in cabins by church groups and ages. While we desire that campers spend time with their friends, we also hope that they take the opportunity to make new friends during their time at camp.

Can campers receive mail while at camp?
Yes, mail will be picked up daily and distributed at dinner each evening. To ensure that your camper receives their mail, please send letters and packages prior to Wednesday of each week.

Please address mail:
Camper Name/Camp Name (eg: John Smith - Junior Camp B)
Lake Retreat Camp & Conference Center

Campers may also receive email or faxes, which will be checked daily. The email address is campermail@lakeretreat.org. Be sure to include Camper’s full name and Camp Name (eg: Junior Camp B) in the subject line.

Please don't send e-cards, attachments, or pictures.

Do you allow visitors or phone calls during camp?
To ensure each camper's safety, we do not allow visitors on the grounds during the camp. If you need to come for any reason, be sure to check in a receive a pass from the office. Phone calls are permitted in emergencies and when pre-approved by written request only. We find that since camp is only a week long, unnecessary visits and phone calls can disrupt a child's time at camp.

Is there a nurse on staff?
There is trained medical personnel on site 24hrs a day to tend to any medical emergencies. Each camp will have a designated medical provider who oversees the distribution of any medications (prescription and over-the-counter), homesickness, and any other camper medical needs. During registration, parents will have the opportunity to meet with the medical provider and go over their child's needs.

When should I arrive at camp?
More information will be sent to you regarding pre-registration activities, but camper check-in begins Sundays at 3pm. Each camper will receive a cabin pass that must be completed before they can check into their cabin. This includes payment of any outstanding balances, visiting with camp medical personnel (if applicable), and other pre-camp necessities.

When does camp end?
Camp concludes on Fridays at 10:30am. Parents need to be prepared to pick up camper promptly at that time. Each camper will need to be signed out with their counselor unless arrangements with camp office are made prior to camp. Counselors will ask for picture ID so please have that ready. If you are not the one picking up your child please be sure to call/e-mail or sign an Alternate Pick-Up form at check-in.

Does Lake Retreat provide transportation to camp?
No, but many churches arrange caravans so check with other members of a church that may be coming the same week as you. Don't forget, if someone other than the parent/guardian is to pick up your camper, a signed note must be left in the camp office.

How do I get to Lake Retreat?
Maps and driving directions are available to print from the website.

Are there scholarships available?
Lake Retreat desires that no child be turned away from camp due to money. We ask that campers check with their local churches for scholarship assistance, but you may also call the camp and request a scholarship application. Our scholarship fund is based 100% on donations so funds are limited.

How much money should my camper bring?
The camp store will be open every afternoon for campers to enjoy a variety snacks and drinks. Most food items range between $.50 - $1.00. The store is also loaded with books, gifts and Lake Retreat toys and apparel. During Jr. High and High School camps certain activities will be available for an additional fee such as specialty crafts and paintball.

How many campers will be in a cabin?
Typically, the counsel to camper ratios will not exceed 1:8. Primary Camps are kept to a ratio of 1:5 or 1:6. If a cabin is larger, there will be a CIT (counselor-in-training) to assist the counselor.
